3rd Annual Potomac Native American Flute Festival Workshop Details

1:00 - 2:00 PM - First Workshop - Flute Playing "101" with Jeff Ball, Ron Warren and Mark Holland. These three world-class NAf musicians will be performing Friday night, and will be sharing tips and techniques during this workshop.
2:30 - 3:30PM - Second Workshop - "Amazing things you can do with Flutes!" with Clint Goss.
Clint is a highly talented musician and teacher. He was the transcriber of Mary Youngblood's music (CDs) into several books of tablature and flute notation, and is filled with energetic love for the flute.

9:00 - 10:00AM - Third Workshop - Reflections on Our First Flute" with Leonard McGann, Dusty Moore, Bob Willasch and Jimi Morehouse. These four flute makers have been producing wonderful flutes for many years. They will be discussing their insprirations and their first flute. They will also describe what they look for in their own and in others' flutes.
10:30 - 11:30AM - Fourth Workshop - "Percussion and the Flute" with Scott Robinson and Ted Natale. These two world-class percussionists will be sharing the tactics and secrets of combining flute and a variety of percussion instruments.
1:30 - 2:30PM - Fifth Workshop - the Yarina brothers discuss their music and guide you through making a pan flute to take home! The Yarina family is performing Saturday night.
3:00 - 4:00PM – Sixth Workshop - "Healing with the Native American Flute" with Jan Seiden. Jan is an accomplished musician and specializes in using the flute for meditations and healing.
4:30 - 5:30PM - Seventh Workshop - Flute (sound) Recording "101" with Bob Willasch and Stuart Hill. Bob and Stuart will review the technologies and techniques for recording and publishing your own NAF recordings.
